This is the art of bringing the woman through an emotional rollercoaster, and thus making her associate herself emotionally with you. This is an advanced technique, but is deadly effective.
If you're able to make her laugh, you've already won half the war. The rule of thumb is this - you must be able to make her laugh within the first three minutes of conversation. When you crack the first joke and she laughs, then you're more or less sorted. Don't fret about having lots of 'canned' jokes - just make them sound natural (and befitting into the conversation) and you will do fine.
Guess what is the number one topic for virtually every human that walks on the face of the earth. THEMSELVES. Make the conversation 80% about her, and 20% about you (or less). This way, you will be able to find out more about herself, and also show her that you're deeply interested in her. These are the key components of deep rapport between a man and a woman.
